Welcome to CASA Festival…

…the UK’s biggest and best celebration of Latin American theatre and performing arts.

2013 saw us hold our 6th edition, with more high-profile companies and bigger audiences than ever. Thanks to all our staff, volunteers, partners, participants and performers for making it happen; our partner venues for their dedication and warm welcome and most importantly our audiences for coming in such numbers and for the passion and engagement you showed.

CASA Asado: Come to our first event of 2014

The 2nd August sees the return of our Summer Fundraising Asado. If you haven’t been to an asado before, it is an Argentine barbecue, and very tasty it is too. Last year’s event was a great success, with everyone enjoying delicious food, live music, and great company all in a beautiful large garden in Sutton with a swimming pool and tennis courts. And all profits go towards our UK Artist Development and Community Programmes. This year we have live music from Corina Piatti and amazing prizes from partners Vintage Roots, Buen Ayre and Porteña for our raffle. Details can be found here but hurry, Early Bird tickets at only £20 are selling fast and are limited.

New Community Events

After the huge success of last year’s Open CASA Community Theatre Workshops and the jam-packed smash-hit sell-out Community Theatre Show that closed the festival in style, we are super excited to announce the return of our community programmes for 2014. We will kick off with the first in a 10 week series of free drama workshops for all ages (18+) and abilities on 7th May, and then in July will start rehearsals for the new show, that will once again close the festival at Rich Mix on the 19th October.

The LUKAS, Latin UK Awards are back and CASA has won Arts Festival of the Year and Performance of the Year for the second year running, and our partner in crime, Rich Mix has won Latin Venue of the Year! Thanks to all of you who voted for us.
