In the 1940s the mysterious disappearance of a local boxing star-to-be and fervent believer in social justice galvanises a marginalised community against political persecution and media manipulation.

Set on the sandy banks of the river Mapocho, Caldo tell this true story of bravery and resistance as a gloriously fun whirlwind of physical theatre, comedy and astute political commentary accompanied by a wonderful live soundtrack of 1940’s Chilean song and music.

The team is pleased to present Población Arenera / The Sand Settlers as CASA 2014’s opening show. As we believe in breaking down the barriers between the audience and the artists, we have prepared a special Latin American dinner with a delicious glass of wine or beer, where you will be able to share your thoughts with the cast and crew. Be part of it! Book your tickets here.
