Discover the incredible true story of Jemmy Button through the quirky songs and brilliant physical storytelling skills of one of Chile's most acclaimed family theatre companies.

In 1830 Captain Fitz Roy of the Beagle captured four indigenous Fuegians from the southern cone of Chile, amongst them a young boy who was given the new name of Jemmy Button. Brought to the UK to be civilized, the boy became something of a celebrity. Less than a year later, the Beagle set out on its second voyage - with an enthusiastic young naturalist called Charles Darwin on board - to take "civilized" Jemmy home...

Tryo Teatro Banda was founded in 2000 with the aim of presenting works by Chilean authors and themes to a diverse audience combining theatre performances with live music. In recent years they have shifted towards creating original productions for all ages with a focus on presenting key dramatic episodes from Chile's history. Based in Santiago, Chile, they have toured across Latin America as well as in Spain and the US.
