Inspired by the Institut Francais’ brilliant La Nuit de la Philosophie / My Night with Philosophers, we are excited to announce and welcome you to join us for the very first all night celebration of Latin American culture in the heart of East London.
On September 13th, come down to the iconic Rose Lipman Building from 6pm to 6am and enjoy an amazing line up of talks and debates on politics, literature, drugs, sex, art, architecture and more alongside movie and documentary screenings, traditional board-games, play-readings, live music and genre-busting DJs. And to keep us all going throughout the night, there will be delicious Latin American food, snacks, drinks and of course, coffee, courtesy of Shelton Imports.
Some of the highlights of the night include the launch of CASA 2014, talks about football, Latin American Arts, radical cities, The Colombian peace process, Cuban religious art, the new methodologies of Latin American dance and more; Live music includes a conversation/performance lecture about the history of salsa, several DJs and a space of acoustic music.
