Performed using traditional north-eastern Brazilian masks and music, this darkly comic fairy-tale has won over fifty national theatre awards.

A man with no memory and stumbles into a strange city where only the ugliest of women live, and where no man has been seen for hundreds of years. By their rules, he should be killed but curiosity gets the better of the women and they decide to spare his life for one more day.

The CASA 2012 programming team will read a selection of their favourite Latin American fairy-tales. The stories will be read in English.
