Shape clay in a workshop exploring memory, belonging and the traces of home.
Presented by CASA in collaboration with Counterpoints Arts and Brixton House
Workshop facilitated by Home Sick Collective
This workshop forms part of a day of live encounters on 30 May at Brixton House, bringing together performance, making and collective process.
RSVP required (limited capacity)
Led by Home Sick Collective, this hands-on workshop invites participants to work with clay as a way of exploring memory, material and personal experience.
Through making and touch, the session opens up a space to reflect on how ideas of home, displacement and belonging can be held, shaped and reimagined through material form. Participants are invited to engage at their own pace, working individually while contributing to a shared atmosphere of making.
Home Sick Collective is a London-based collective founded by Tatiana Martínez (El Salvador) and Noor Nematt (Jordan). Initially centred on curating exhibitions, their practice has expanded to include film screenings, interactive digital installations, and evenings of music and poetry, embracing a wide range of themes and artistic expressions.
Part of Lines of Flight
This workshop is part of Transnational Encounters, a chapter of Lines of Flight, CASA’s multi-arts programme at Brixton House exploring how artistic practices are shaped across movement, exchange and lived experience.
