This November, CASA launches Lines of Flight, an ambitious new year-long programme of contemporary Latin American and Caribbean art at Brixton House, beginning with its first chapter – Sensory Worlds.
Spanning exhibitions, film, performance, writing and public encounters, Lines of Flight brings together some of the most compelling artistic voices working across Latin America, the Caribbean and their diasporas. Conceived and curated by Gabriela Román González, the programme unfolds across four evolving chapters, creating space for ideas to move across disciplines, geographies and ways of knowing.

What changes when we come closer?
At the heart of the opening chapter is a new solo exhibition by Emilia González Salgado, where scent, clay, vapour and memory turn proximity into a way of seeing, knowing and relating to the world.
From there, Sensory Worlds opens outwards through film, conversation and collective reflection, moving across questions of displacement, belonging and visibility. The chapter also launches On Record: When We Move Sideways, a new editorial series by CASA and Not The Owners inviting writers and artists to think alongside Lines of Flight throughout the year.
Together, these first encounters set the tone for what follows: a programme interested not only in what art shows us, but in how it might shift the ways we see, think and relate.
