One of things we do at CASA is nurture and support UK-based Latin American artists. And the principal way we do so is via our Artists-in-Residence scheme, which is designed to support up to six artists every year with mentoring, rehearsal space and a small bursary to develop a brand new theatre project.
The Nuestra CASA Scratch Night is your chance to see those new projects on stage for the first time and tell the artists what you think. But that’s not all. An invited jury of UK theatre professionals will choose one of the projects to receive a grant of £3000 and the chance for the artist/s to come back and perform their project as a full length show at CASA 2015.
This year we will have 5 wonderful contenders that will offer us brilliant stories of homelessness, war survivors, emotional displacement, technology as a substitue of love, and even a dialogue between Margaret Thatcher and Leopoldo Galtieri!
