Can joy change the way we lead?
Presented by CASA, Counterpoints Arts and Hopeful Mess
Leading with Joy is a participatory workshop exploring what happens when joy becomes a starting point for how we lead, collaborate and create together.
Blending movement, storytelling and collective imagination, the session invites participants to step outside familiar models of leadership and explore more embodied, connected and playful ways of working with others.
Participants will leave with practical, movement-led tools to bring into teams, communities and creative projects, alongside new ways of thinking about how joy can shape the cultures we create around us.
Part of Lines of Flight
Leading with Joy forms part of Lines of Flight’s Closing Day at Brixton House, bringing together workshops, performance, conversation and celebration to mark the end of CASA’s year-long multi-arts programme curated by Gabriela Román González at Brixton House.

About the facilitator and partners

Arts, Displacement & Mental Health Producer at Counterpoints Arts and Creative Director of Rain Crew. A dance artist turned producer, she develops participatory arts projects that bring together artists, communities and mental health practitioners. Her work explores the role of collaborative artistic practice in strengthening wellbeing, fostering belonging, and addressing systemic inequalities through collective creative processes.

Leading national and international organisation in the field of arts, migration and cultural change. Its mission is to support and create transformative art by, with, and about migrants and refugees – so their stories shape our culture and help change how we see displacement. Its work takes place at the intersection of climate, racial justice, mental health and displacement and we produce a range of programmes including Refugee Week, Counterpoints Film Productions and Platforma festival.
